Starting something new while I'm at work.
Utilizing the css from my main page I reworked it in a way where I can use it for this blog page.
This page will be used to collect my insane thoughts while I rot away at work.
Possibly doing this in the worst way possible, but I will figure out someway better to set this up eventually.

I thought about adding some sort of "commenting" system. So I could get all sorts of comments from anyone that visits the page.
I definitely see all sorts of flaws with a system like that but I just think it'd be cute.
Unsure of how I want to format this.

I thought about separating the days out into their own subpages or like some sort of transition thingy like how NeverHax's website is set up.
I don't want to clutter the workspace by making too many subfolders, that just feels unmaintainable.

I hate the tooling and other shit I generated with AI before I really realized how shit it truly was.
I am incredibly ashamed of myself for doing so and by god I feel outright fucking awful for doing it.
A majority of the shit I made was out of pure spite of being outwardly fucking lazy but man am I glad I actually learned things like HTML + CSS + JS for website stuff.
yummy code

I'm unsure when or why cgnat was enabled but I don't recall it being previously enabled through my ISP.

RTMP setup
Unfortunately, cgnat is fucking stupid so even if I wanted to stream directly to the website, I would not be able to.
$15 extra for a static IP through my ISP lol

I honestly can't wait to move out of this fuckass house. Rent is too high, I don't have a working dryer, utility bill is consistently too high for only two people living here, I had to save the house from burning down TWICE.
I can't properly port forward on my router because of CGNAT as I showed in the previous blog.
The stress is really getting to me.

Unsigned. I have been getting so much information compiled about it since I got the motivation to actually look deeper into it (Thank you Scott)
It really did not take too much tinker, honest to god.
I just looked at the SLN file which told me which Visual Studio version it needed, what XNA version it required and that was about it.
It was super easy to build after that, although now unfortunately because of Microsoft's dwindling support for XNA, it wouldn't get any further than song select and it would end up crashing but Lo and Behold! It runs just fine under Wine on Linux.

Speak of the devil haha. We got a vacate notice.
The landlord was nice enough to give us until the beginning of Novemeber to vacate but nonetheless kind of shitty.

Happy October! I am very very excited for halloween. As you can probably tell I've halloween themed my website to match.
Other than that, I have fixed one piece out of many for Unsigned in an attempt to "modernize" it in the XNA-to-FNA branch of the repository.
Fixing one piece out of the puzzle is better than just leaving it how it is.
I tried installing Half-Life 2: Collector's Edition from the Internet Archive and using Valve's Hammer Editor 4.1 but the "Wine bug" was happening to me on Windows 11 LOL
The video below showcases SourceSDK Hammer through Steam but same thing.

I fucking hate my ISP dawg. Before I had them set me up with a "static IP" they had me under CGNAT, but they weren't using the traditional range which I thought was incredibly fucking weird.
CGNAT range traditionally is 100.64.0.0 to 100.127.255.255 which you can very clearly see is NOT that.
They also do not provide iPv6 while utilizing... cgnat.
Now the reason why I have a "static IP" is because it was advertised to me by my ISP that I could freely utilize ports such as:
80: Default communication endpoint used for unencrypted HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) web traffic on the internet.
443: Default communication endpoint used for secure HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) web traffic on the internet.
Of course, you're probably not reading this on my website right now which requires these ports to be open. For some fucking reason sublinks don't work with a ported link so my blog doesn't load.
I have called my ISP numerous times trying to explain to them that it wasn't on my end that these ports were getting blocked, it was trying to talk to a bunch of fucking chimps that just found out they could trick a rock into thinking.
They kept blaming the "firewall on my router" and told me numerous times to disable it with me continously stating back to them, that was a troubleshooting step I already tried.
They would state over and over again that they don't normally block those ports. Which is bullshit considering all of the rigerous testing I've done.
The reason the main part of my website is accessible at all is due to the port being set to 8080 and 8443 externally rather than their known ports. Alongside SSH just being on a random fuck port (which at this time is now disabled).
They stated in a phone call this morning that best case scenario would be to switch me to a business account for some reason since I guess what I have is a "sticky IP" and not something static which is fine but I suppose I don't have pure access to these ports. I am so sick of this shit dawg.

I have been having an exceedingly hard time understanding the English language today. Just typing any of this down is incredibly difficult for me as my brain can't think of words as fast as I can type. Trying to think of a reply to a conversation is exceedingly difficult as the words are just totally lost on me.
I don't know if its brain fog or what but it is bothering me.
Other than that, I did have the brain power to get a VPS up and running again. I've got a Copyparty and a Forgejo instance running locally through a reverse proxy so it can be accessed then the smaller websites are running on the VPS itself.
It's nice having websites up and running again but I don't consistently have the money to do so which blows.
I also have a full backup of Milohax's ArbysHasTheMeats! It's so nice having all of this locally.
I still have to figure out a better list for the dated buttons, it's getting too cluttered up there.
Trying to get the Fluxer webhook working on Forgejo but the way it sends out events breaks it unlike the Discord webhook which is incredibly odd.
Forgejo more than likely just straight up does not have support for it so it is what it is lol

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening whenever you are reading this. As you can see I have reformatted the blog page a decent bit so I could clear a majority of the clutter off of the top of the page.
Before:
Didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would have but it def took longer than it should've. It was so much simpler than I was initially making it.

Not super sure what all I want to write about today.
I guess the whole negative stigma surrounding Artificial Intelligence Large Language Model usage.
It is becoming more and more prominent within the rhythm gaming space which absolutely sucks. We have seen back-to-back projects utilizing it heavily rather than it being used to augment one's ability who already understands what the code does.
People chase for clout so hard when using it they will double and sometimes even triple down on being confronted about the fact that it reeks with AI use even though they have very prominent previous use of it.
That is needless to say I am very guilty of this but I never doubled down on it. I admitted it and stopped the project entirely because I genuinely had no idea what I was doing. Now I have this website that is completely hand-written with the help of my friends.
I like coding now more than ever because of the reward that comes with completing a project fully by typing each character out at a time, referencing documentation and the rage that comes when something doesn't work in the way you expect it to.
You don't get that feeling with generating a project and its code. THAT, is the negative stigma. You are numbing your dopamine receptors to the point where effectively doing anything else doesn't give you that same rush because its all being done for you.
I understand it is finally to a point where its just something we unfortunately have to start accepting, but we can accept it in our own way.
A perfect example of this is the way MiloHax does it. They aren't entirely /against/ the idea of utilizing AI, but they prefer you have a large understanding of what you're doing, what the code does, if it's maintainable by a human and not just outright done by the AI. Local models are also preferred to utilizing LLMs due to the severe affect on nature they have had. This perception helps heavily within the community because people will openly disclose their use of AI, they can prove they know what the code actually does and that they are capable of maintaining it.
The "slop-comps" are not a perfect example of how to utilize Artificial Intelligence in anyway shape or form. I.E. a PS2 recompilation (not a decomp) of Amplitude doesn't disclose that it is basically ENTIRELY "vibe-coded" but it runs substantially worse than just running it on PCSX2.
The Rock Band 3 and Dance Central 3 decompilations by MiloHax (NOT FROM THE USER "FREE") (also not a recomp) are beyond perfect examples of how to utilize AI for projects like these, the disclosure, the way they productively use it to augment their already pre-existing abilities, the use of local models on their OWN PCs rather than relying on LLMs and their AI policy on the respective decomps.

I HEAVILY suggest giving the Long Answer a read HERE

Good afternoon everyone! As many of you know, Stage Tour released their trailer, which is super super exciting.
I've already cemented my pre-order on Steam for the game.
I have been playing Guitar Hero since I was 4 years old, I've been watching Acai since I was about 11 years old. My love for this game has never died and I go through so many different avenues to experience different ways to play it.
The idea of games official releases alongside the various fan/clone games that emerge with them is such a cool idea. There is obviously no game out there that is perfect which is why there is such a wealth of options to choose from.
Throughout the time of my maturity and growing up alongside this community, I have seen countless projects pop up and those same countless projects fall which is one of the main reasons why I believe archival is so important.
Without the help of so many community members, I don't think my project would be where it is today.

Over the past 2 days, I have seen 5-7 projects pop up in MiloHax purely vibe-coded by Claude utilizing the previous projects of a loved man in the 5-fret community who had passed away.
It is incredibly disrespectful to those who have worked on projects with their bare hands over a very long period of time.
These people that generate these projects though don't understand that, they don't understand the backlash either. They ask why over and over expecting to get an answer that works in their favor. They expect to get an answer that doesn't hurt their feelings but as I've stated before, these people will double and most of the time triple down on what they say expecting the other party to change their minds.
I have done a LOT of digging on these projects that don't clearly show that they are AI but look suspicious almost 99% of the time coming out as a generated project.
The whole ordeal people will go through just to /try/ to prove that they're in the right is just outright pathetic.

The "dead man" by the way is Maxton, he was one of the first people to really break into Rock Band 4 modding before his unfortunate passing.
It's so gross and unbecoming to take the work of everyone who has worked their asses off to learn so much about how RND, Milo and Forge works just to throw it into an LLM and spit out shit.
It def has its usecases but these empty-headed morons don't have a clue what they are actually doing and how much damage they are causing to not only the environment they live in but the greater community by posting shit like this.

Good morning, it has been a few days since my previous blog post.
I got an interesting email the other day considering my PERSONAL blog which me and a few acquaintances found humerous.
My blog overall isn't an articles page. I don't report on everything rhythm games. This is just a space for my insane and sometimes inane thoughts.
Moving on from that. I have finally fixed up my personal Forgejo instance. Still having to fix the SSH portion of it to work properly but so far so good!
NUMBER
This number above in the orange text just so happened to be the private key that a company used for its Certificate Authority (CA) certificates. The CA is a trusted organization that verifies identities and issues these digital certificates to protect websites, software, and a wide variety of other applications.
Normally the CA certificates are supposed to have a private key that is incredibly long and complex. Typically between 2048 and 4096 bits for RSA algorithms, or 256 to 384 bits for Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). These massive key lengths ensure that the certificates remain mathematically impossible to guess or brute-force over their long multi-year lifespans.
On October 17th, five days ago at the time of writing this blog, the flaw was discovered and the appropriate parties alongside eMudhra (the CA certificate issuer) were notified. The vulnerability wasn't made public until the 20th where it still went majorly unpatched. It immediately went widespread, where a vast majority of websites went down until software and hardware providers patched out the security vulnerability.
This isn't normally something I would write about as it didn't directly affect me but I just wanted to write this Javascript to give you an idea of how something to this degree could've happened.
I'll most likely end up doing a second separate blog today as this wasn't my intended start topic lol

I've been relearning Postal 2 speedrunning. Speedrunning used to be one of my biggest hobbies until I got a job, after which finding the time to do it got significantly more difficult. However, I'm finally finding that motivation again, which is really exciting.
It's insanely difficult to speedrun on Linux since there is no native port of LiveSplit. This forces me to run the game through Proton and run LiveSplit inside that same Proton container. It isn't the cleanest method for speedrunning, but the Portal community has a growing number of Linux speedrunners, so they're having to find solutions to compensate.
While I've had some free time at work, I've been learning the Monday route on my laptop (which is a total piece of shit spec-wise), and I'm getting ready to move on to Tuesday. It's been a fun learning experience so far.
I believe I formally started out with Portal 1 Inbounds, then moved to Glitchless, and eventually transitioned to other games. I had speedrun a decent amount of games throughout high school that are unfortunately lost to time. I had a habit of consistently deleting my old accounts and videos, so a lot of my past history is just outright lost. I even deleted videos of runs that are still listed on Speedrun.com, like my times for Poppy Playtime.
Still, I've had a LOT of fun running all of the games currently on my page. There are some that I truly miss running but could never get back into because they just take too long to relearn. It's like the muscle memory is still there, but the actual /idea/ is faded.
